Hard Shell Mooring Buoys

Our Mooring Buoys are designed to offer customers long life and are suitable for a range of locations. This buoy has a unique recessed top section which allows connecting shackle to be protected from scratching the vessel.

The mooring buoy is available in 18" (457mm) and 24" (610mm) diameter and are rotationally-molded from UV-stabilized virgin polyethylene and are foam filled with closed-cell polyurethane to prevent water ingress in the unlikely event of damage to the outer layer.

They have a molded centre pipe with 2.6 inches (66mm) ID that will accept mooring chain of up to ⅝ inch (16mm) in diameter.

Foam Mooring Buoys

For mooring buoy applications, the self-fendering properties of these foam buoys make them far preferable to steel buoys which inevitably damage vessels. And, unlike other hard-shell or composite buoys made of polyethylene and/or polyurethane, foam buoys do not fade or yellow, and will not take on water if struck and punctured.

These mooring buoys are made of a extremely durable closed cell foam and have been known to last upwards of 10 years.
